I’m Shannon Rock, and I have to first say, I love my job.

I am a passionate child of the 80's who started from nothing and with a bit of elbow grease, creativity and drive became a photo-taking, people loving, artist. I love cooking - like I make some seriously fancy meals on an almost daily basis - traveling, climbing mountains, ordering room service, spicy mezcal margaritas, watching cheesy crime TV shows, squeezing the heck out of my ridiculously adorable nephews and eating as much burrata as possible. 

Capturing people's love fills my heart with joy.... From adventure elopements, to fashion and marketing campaigns, creative portraits to working my team on commercials, I swim in the world of visual expressions in both photography and filmmaking everyday.

STYLE, INFLUENCE & EXPERIENCE
I graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Film & Photography in 2012. First attempting to play in the world of film, I realized that I loved still more than motion, but approach photography in a cinematic way. My style is romantic, editorial, with a side of classic or retro flair. A times off-beat, and others with a nod to the early stages of portrait photography. Every picture I take I aim to be cover story ready. My influences are Annie Leibovitz, Baz Luhrmann, Platon, and Ryan Murphy.
